If the annealing furnace is used for too long, it may more or less malfunction. So what should be done if there are frequent strip breaks in the annealing furnace?
This type of strip breakage occurs in almost every process on the production line, summarized as follows:
1. Edge scraping of the entrance loop: Improper operation by personnel, such as excessive correction amplitude, excessive punching amount of the loop, low tension, or untimely manual correction; CPC correction system malfunction scraping edge; Poor incoming plate shape.
2. Cleaning tank edge scraping: Poor correction of the inlet loop, causing the steel strip to deviate and scrape the edge in the cleaning tank; The breakage or detachment of electrolytic copper bars or protective plates can cause scraping or even breakage of the extruded steel strip; The brush roller or squeeze dry roller does not rotate, causing the steel strip to break during stacking.
3. Scraping inside the annealing furnace: If the correction operation is not timely or the 3 # correction machine malfunctions, the correction effect is poor. Scrape the edge on the furnace wall or roller.
4. Scraping the edge of the zinc pot section: mainly refers to scraping the edge at the furnace nose, this is directly related to the correction effect of the previous process.
5. Cooling tower edge scraping: Poor plate shape, large edge waves, irregular steel strip operation, and scraping caused by friction; Inadequate tower top correction or CPC correction system malfunction; Scratch the edge of the water quenching tank.
6. Scraping the edge of the export loop: Similar to scraping the edge of the import loop, the main reason is: improper operation by personnel, such as excessive correction amplitude, excessive punching amount of the loop, or untimely manual correction; CPC correction system malfunction scraping edge; The shape of the steel strip has not been well improved, and there are edge waves.
In summary, the main reasons for edge scraping are as follows:
1. Caused by improper operation by employees. For example, the manual correction inside the loop is not timely or the correction amplitude is too large; Excessive punching amount and low tension; Slight scraping did not receive sufficient attention and timely measures were not taken, resulting in the formation of large cracks and tearing of the band.
2. Equipment failures are mainly caused by CPC correction system failures, as well as abnormal situations such as steel structures or auxiliary equipment falling off and squeezing in the cleaning tank.
3. Poor shape of steel strip: Firstly, poor shape of incoming material, such as bulging or large edge waves; The second issue is the occurrence of new abnormal plate shape during the galvanizing process, such as insufficient stretching and correction, deformation of the steel strip caused by abnormal correction, which makes correction quite difficult in subsequent processes.
